This is new /drug/, the drugs board. The intent is that this board will be used to facilitate discussions about experiences and experiments with drugs and the impact that drugs have on one's perception and interactions with the world around them.

Remember to be smart when discussing potentially illegal activities.

I miss /drg/, so I figured I'd make a thread. What drugs have you been taking? What drugs would you like to take? What drug-related stories do you have? Let's talk drugs!

I tried 3-AcO-DMT last weekend. It was my first psychedelic. I took way too much, though, and ended up going crazy and crying for a few hours. My first mistake was leaving the house. I thought it'd be cool to bike around town, but I was absolutely overwhelmed by sensory imagery and my own thoughts. My second mistake was doing it alone. I freaked the fuarrrk out because I lost my diary (it fell off my bike...) and freaked out about other soykaf. If I had a friend to calm me down, I could've had a better time. Nevertheless, I remember the entire experience quite fondly. I learned a lot about myself, despite having a "bad trip". I don't regret the experience at all. I plan on trying it again with a smaller dose next weekend. I can't wait.

This lain is technically right for a lot of people including myself. Also depends how you define worse but they are not to be taken lightly.

I had some of that as well, ended up flushing most of it down the toilet because i didn't have a proper means of dosing and kept taking tiny amounts that just jacked tolerance up. Got one good trip out of it though... Weird stuff. Psys are just weird in general man. I feel like i would only completely enjoy them if it were mixed with something or if i had my own house in the wilderness with no job. MUCH MUCH more of a dissociative fan but i don't touch them much anymore due to legality, availability and tolerance. Now i just drink a ton which isn't too far off from them when you think about it. Both pretty strong NMDA antagonists.

I had a very small amount of freebase DMT that I eyeballed and put into a shiity homemade machine, and the whole experience was soykaf. Pretty sure I was inhaling steel wool fumes most of the time, barely felt anything, and the smoke probably leaked out from the top of my soykafty homemade machine.

Any tips for injestion methods? Gonna try to drill a hole in a bottle properly instead of doing it out of a broken bottle, burn the steel wool first, hold the lighter farther away from the wool, and wait until the bottle is milky to inhale.

Do you use them? what are you addicted to, perhaps you dose daily?

Also how do they improve your daily life?

Tell me about your favorite drug and why you like it.
So far my favorite drug has been MDMA. The high is sublime. I feel nothing but pure bliss, confidence, and general good vibes. When I have some great music pumping in my ears I feel as if I am slipping into my own reality with the music resonating through my whole body. It's just such a perfect feeling that I don't think anything else can really compare to it.
This all comes at a price though. The neurotoxic effects are known, and although there isn't much research on "normal" dosages I have heard plenty of anecdotal accounts saying that 20~ spaced out normal doses have left them with a slight mental fog or made them more forgetful. I have only used it 6 times and I don't think I want to use it more than a couple more times max. It's such a shame. I guess humans just aren't built to feel that kind of pleasure.

Picture related. When I am really peaking with a good combo of having an excellent time with excellent music I feel like I have this energy radiating out from my head that synergizes with everything around me.

Dihydrocodeine.
Marijuana.
Diazepam.
Alcohol.

I've done almost everything under the sun, the big three psychedelics, got addicted to snorting darknet heroin, smoked cigarettes for a time.

Those four drugs are all favourites because they're nice to chill out on after a hard day's hustling. They all combine with each other pretty nicely and they're also really easy and cheap to access.

Weed is still one of my favorites despite trying a whole host of other drugs. It's a very good combination of duration, good feels, and how easygoing to experience is. You're not so fuarrrked up that you can't function, but everything is more fun/interesting.
Weed + nitrous ranks really high in my books.
I really pity the people that claim they find weed "boring."

This is a thread for one of the acceptable drugs, caffeine. It seems reasonable to assume most of us get our caffeine from coffee and tea, but for those of you who do use caffeine supplements and whatnot, how do you like them?

For those of us who have rationalized away the idea that allowing caffeine and liquor is alright but all other drugs are bad, how did you ease into heavier drugs? How could one use caffeine as a gateway drug?

How important is caffeine in your life? Do you use it often; does it help you wake up and operate in your normal activities?

Lastly, feel free to discuss recipes, techniques, and opinions for coffee, tea, and other caffeinated foods that you enjoy or find interesting.

Your argument seems to fall on the "appeal to nature":
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appeal_to_nature

It's not because it's natural (or the new fancy hipster term "organic") that it does good for you. As Paracelsus said: " All substances are poisons; there is none which is not a poison. The right dose differentiates a poison…" or something like that.

I think you've read Dave Asprey bullsoykaf, right? Most of what he says about coffee is a exaggerated to sell more of his "organic, mold free, super blast bulletproof coffee".

>has anyone had that wakey-wakey coffe effect from a tea?

I do, using yerba mate with green tea. If you do a powder from both and agitate in a recipient with 100C boiling water it extracts a good quantity of caffeine...

>I love making tea cocktails mixing some of them

I do to, I like it. I'm experimenting with Salvia now (noticed any effect at all), but I've have experiences with ginkgo biloba, ginseng and others. So far, aside from caffeine containing plants, no effect noticed. I've tried pills of kava and rhodiola rosea, nothing too.

>Got any sources for that?

Not the same guy but, as I said, you're falling on appeal to nature fallacy. What science do with plants some animistic religions say is bad. Basically because most of these think that all plants have an spirit ("anima mundi", or qi, kundalini, ether, etc) and when you consume these plants you're actually consuming it's spirit. It's fine if you apply it in a metaphorical way, but that's not exactly what science shows.
What science do is:
- Get a plant
- See what is the major components of it
- Remove the normal compounds (chlorophyll and some alkaloids) that have now show any particular effect (through double blind, placebo controlled, randomized clinical tests)
- Test it in animals. If show effects, go to the lab and check the components again
- Start removing those other substances until find the one that's actually doing the desired effect
- Test it again, but now with the pure substance in a clinical way (the state of art today is a peer review of double blink, placebo controlled and randomized)
- If some result is found, other academics will do research too. Other universities start to do peer review on papers.
- If the statistic is good, someone will do an meta-analysis of all these studies and, through statistics (see p-number), they can check if it works or not

Of course, you could argue that there's a kind of reductionism here. For example, different substances, when interacting may lead to different results. Science is aware of it. Most of them already know the drug metabolism (CYP450 and other enzymes, P-glycoprotein, etc) and the pharmacokinesis.

>yerba mate [...] can cause throat cancer

True. I've read that too. But to it actually cause cancer you'll have to drink it a lot. Also, most of the studies, IIRC, did with hot water, that may be the actual cause of cancer. If you think about it, a lot of people on south america drink it everyday and, if this cancer hypothesis is true, you should see a higher statistics in cancer on those places... and there's no statistics on this. Actually, there's more cancer , from what I remember, in big cities than on, say, the rural places of Paraguay or the south of Brazil.

>caffeine from other sources (like tea) actually boosts arterial function.

That's the point. Our body, when you rise something, enter in an state of homeostasis. That is, it tries to normalize the effects. So, let's say you rise dopamine. When you do it, you'll generally get the opposite effect through time, your body will lower the dopamine receptors. So what most people do? They take more of the substance. So it goes up, but then the receptor again, goes down with time. Now, when you take of the drug rising dopamine, your baseline levels will not be the same as it were before you started taking this drug, it will be bellow the baseline of some time (potentially years). That's the tolerance effect and way some substances is addictive.
With caffeine is the same. It's a vasoconstrictor, through adenosine, but as time passes, your body does homeostasis and lower the blood flow in some areas to compensate the constant caffeine effect. So it results on less blood flow on some parts of the brain, and, therefore, less oxygenation, which is very bad.

>Coffee is so fuarking delicious though, I'll have to find a tea that's similar.

Yep. It's fuarrrking great. Some people say that strains of black tea, when with a sweetener, have similar tastes. I personally don't like black tea, but who knows...

my waifu used stimulants maybe 15 or 20 times across a two-year span. most of the time she used benzedrex because she was a dumb kid, but she was occasionally able to get some coke or addy.

it had been over a calendar year since she had done any stim, but she was feeling down so she went out and got 4 inhalers. she soaked two of them in some pepsi for a bit then downed it. mentally she felt very speedy, but the super intense body she remembered so vividly was 100% absent.

maybe she just didn't let them soak for long enough, so she let the other two sit for a full day in some lime juice. it still felt the same, though - mind racing but 0 euphoria.

there's no way whatever tiny tolerance she had built up a year ago has carried over like this, right? the only other things she was into during the interim period were a bit of oxy/codeine and some rc benzos.

please help this cute girl

>adhd is a scam
So you don't understand the research behind ADHD?

There's genetic and anthropological evidence supporting the hunter/farmer theory:
http://www.thomhartmann.com/articles/2007/11/thom-hartmanns-hunter-and-farmer-approach-addadhd
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/06/080609195604.htm

What the causes negative and positive symptoms of the condition is a reduced availability of free dopamine in the brain. There are different contributing factors, but the 7R allele of the DRD4 gene and the 10R allele of the DAT1 gene are thought to have an impact:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10654656

It affects an estimated 4% of the human population of the developed world, yet it's been a genetic factor of human development throughout 90% of human history. This is thought to be due to the hyperfocus ability, which is a highly adaptable trait used for survival by nomadic populations and high-intensity tasks in modern populations.
http://nymag.com/scienceofus/2016/07/when-adult-adhd-looks-something-like-flow.html

Stimulants provide a source of dopamine, allowing the dopamine-deficient user to perform tasks that would otherwise fail to meet their chemical reward threshold. Individuals without ADHD have a much lower threshold for reward due to the increased availability of free dopamine.

Anyone have any experience with low dose LSD? Not microdosing, but like 50ug, half a tab or so.

I've been considering it since the stuff is cheap on dnm. I depression and anxiety issues, I'm not ready for a real trip, and I've heard the anxiety is actually worse with a low dose. But I've been thinkin about it.

  No.4175

I have experience with this! It is just a lighter trip that is easier to handle. Before I was comfortable taking bigger doses in public settings, I would frequently take 50ug when going to museums/concerts/etc.

honestly though, for your first time I would recommend 100ug. You might get more anxious on 50ug, as you wont really trip hard enough to get lost in the experience. When I am fully tripping, I can really step outside myself and transcend any anxiety around the trip, but on low doses I tend to just have a slightly weird head-space that might be very confusing for someone who hasnt tripped before at a larger dose. I too have had anxiety and depression issues for a long time that I effectively cured using psychedelics as a tool. I'm not saying it will work for you or anything, it might even make things worse.

If you are worried about freaking out, it might be better to have a benzo/opiate/antipsychotic/sedative on hand and take the full dose instead of just taking 50ug. Trazadone will cancel the effects of a psychedelic even, if you are that concerned about freaking out.

Something I suggest to anyone who wants to trip and hasnt before is to do DMT as your first psychedelic. It sounds crazy, but trust me on this. You cant freak out on DMT, it is over too quickly. by the time you can process it you are down. You dont have to breakthrough, low doses of dmt can be very calm and pleasant. If you do breakthrough it will give you much more of a feel for what psychedelics are all about than a low dose of lsd. if you find out you hate it you dont have to sit through a 12+ hour trip, and it will really prepare you for a longer lasting psychedelic. Seriously, as someone who has taken psychedelics around 200 times over the last 15 years, it is the best intro to psychedelic drugs.

  No.4504

I agree with >>4175
Go for 100 for your first time. I have known a few people irl who started with 50ug only to decide to up the dose mid trip, and later commenting they should have just done 100 to start.

If you are anxious/nervous about your reaction just know that is perfectly normal. I personally have found meditation for this, especially when i trip. It comes highly recommended, just 5-10 minutes every day can do you wonders.

Anyone else vape here?

Switched to vaping after smoking for around 5-6 years, been vaping for about a year and a half now. The new restrictions on it really bum be out, we used to have a lot of great local juice that people would make themselves at home and then sell through the local vape shops and now that's all gone. Some of my favorite flavors used to be made by these small time guys, and that coupled with bigger tobacco companies buying out vape brands / flavors and changing the ingredients doesn't make it seem like the future will be too bright for us.

Also, what do you guys do with nicotine harshness? I've got an absurdly high tolerance to nicotine (as in, can chainsmoke unfiltered camels back to back and be fine) but for some reason anything over 3mg kills my throat and makes it really hard to keep vaping. I've been on 3mg for a while now and I don't feel it at all, it's more like blowing clouds is the actual habit at this point. Everytime I go up to a 6 I'm forced to drop back down because it physically hurts to vape it. I've got friends who vape 6s/12s with no problem but they cough from cigarettes, how the fuarrrk do I have the opposite problem? I've heard something about "nicotine salt" juices that use a different synthesis of nicotine that gets rid of the harshness on inhalation but the only juice I know that uses it is the proprietary Jule pods. Thoughts?

Why does everyone make the assumption that OP *must* continue smoking and then proceed with suggestions to try make their experiences less horribly psychotic. Maybe they can't. Maybe none of your suggestions will work.

Maybe OP is like me and despite wanting to be able to enjoy something that most of her friends do, she has not and probably will not ever have a positive experience with the drug. My body is permanently disfigured from the self-mutilation I engaged in while under its influence. I don't think I will ever smoke again.

Just because it's great for you doesn't mean it's great for someone else. Why can't the advice ever be, "if it causes distress, maybe you should cease using it?"

You can live without it! Jesus Christ.

I've had the exact same experiences as you. Some were so bad that I wasn't right for days or even a week. This was when I was 16 or 17. One of these instances got me into trouble and I quit for a few years. Tried again and similarly bad stuff would happen. I think I was just not comfortable in my own body, and I was not comfortable with my life and I had a lot of social anxiety. Weed amplified my anxiety and to move past the anxiety I would work myself into a sort of manic state where I was talking very fast, mostly nonsense, and thought every idea was true and lost touch with reality. It fixed the anxiety at least! I would also have auditory hallucinations, especially when it was quiet at night, and I had a lot of paranoia. It was bad man. I think this isn't the best thing for you to be experimenting with right now. If it makes you feel better, I'm now 30 and in the last few years I've learned to enjoy weed. Mostly this is because I am comfortable in my own skin, I am a much happier person, and I don't have to worry about getting into trouble because I live on my own and I know that I could handle any legal problems easily. A trip to Colorado also helped me sort out which strains were good for me and which were bad. It turns out that pure Indica give me almost no anxiety. Also I recognize that weed is really strong now and so I don't smoke more than one hit. So my point is that you're not doomed to never enjoy pot, but you need to be in a good setting, reasonably happy with your life, comfortable in your own skin, safe, secure, in control of your environment, and stick with tiny doses and know what strain you're smoking. Good luck and maybe take a break for a few years, it was definitely the right thing for me when I did that.

If you share your experiences, please also mention if you have been a regular drug user as this might influence the effect of microdosing. If you can provide useful resources on this topic, it's appreciated, too.

Fake names are a dead giveaway that something fishy is going on. Even if nobody contacts the police, a neighbor or postal worker may guess what's in there and steal it, knowing you won't do soykaf about it. It's always better to have it blend in. Having your name on it is not going to make you any more or less culpable; you can't stop people from sending you things in the mail. Accepting mail with somebody else's name on it or a fake name is probably illegal to begin with, and will definitely look like stronger evidence to any jury or policeman.

Is this soykaf actually as good as people say or is it overhyped by people who have never tried any other decent opiate? Not expecting anything major out of it, but it's cheap and seems to get glowing praise online so I thought I might as well order some and see for myself. Thoughts?

No.4487 [Reply]

Last night I went to a party with my HS schoolmates. Binge drinking, smoking cigarettes, some local food to deal with the alcohol. Most important though, one of them offered me weed and we smoked some outside before going back

I have smoked weed before, some months ago one friend offered me and it didn't really feel good because it was just before going into class. I couldn't concentrate at all and felt paranoid, was having some slight hallucinations while there, so I left class and sat around until my next class, which was far better since I was coming down and could now concentrate.

Now, yesterday, after some hours we left the place we were at to go to a friend's house, where my group started drinking rum again (this is where the heavy drinking began). After a few minutes I was totaled. I woke up on my bed around 6 hours later. I slept around 5 more hours and here I am.

I feel fuarrrking awful, both embarrassed and depressed. Really fuarrrking depressed, I have never felt this bad after drinking. It might have something to do with the fact I didn't really enjoy that much the party, but it is a feeling of overwhelming sadness where you just want to crawl into fetal position and cry for help. I don't even want to eat.

I remember some months ago, days after confessing to a girl I that I was obsessed with (to this day I still dream about her, even after "forgetting") I felt so sick I spent an entire day on my bed, was having some sort of hallucinations which made me feel haunted. It was an horrible experience.

Has something similar happened to any of you before when using several drugs together?

  No.4488

I don't intend to step over what you're feeling, or say it doesn't matter but
> I don't even want to eat.
Is where very very likely this thing is coming from. Your body exhausted a lot of resources to deal with all the pollution of your system, and now you feel bad emotionally pretty much the same way you would if you'd taken a beating or something.
I usually go to a breakfast with a lot of eggs, and, unless it's too hot for that, eat a very hearty chicken soup, full of vegetables, and noodles, a lot of fat preferably, for both lunch and dinner, the day after drinking heavily.

You need to put minerals back inside your body, energy, and chicken has some chemical properties that help your body with the cleansing. Just go ahead for that and I bet all my experience as a heavy drinker you'll feel somewhat, if not completely, better.
If you don't, then at least you'll find yourself in a state where it's possible to deal with the inner workins to sort this soykaf out. Right now, with a fuarrrked metabolism, it's just not the moment for that.

I recently purchased (what is supposed to be) 2C-B from a very well rated Tor dealer. I was immediately a little concerned when I got the drug though.Instead of being pure white, the powder is a light tan color. I took out my Mandelin reagent and tested it. Bizarrely it turned a green color, but I left it for some time and it slowly faded to yellow and then went clear. According to my research, 2C-B is supposed to go straight yellow and then clear.
The only drug that turns green with a Mandelin test (that I know of) is Meth, and this does not look like meth, nor does the dealer sell meth. I do not have another reagent kit at my disposal right now, so I can't test it with something else. I believe this reagent is still good because testing MDMA results in a purple -> black reaction as it should.
Like an idiot I finalized before testing the drug, so confronting the dealer is out of the question at this point.

Has anyone here had a similar experience? What should I do?

My recent experiences with weed along with my history of depression have come together in a bad way. I feel "addicted", in the way that I urge to smoke when I am faced with my own true feelings again. I feel like ultimately being high feels like the literal opposite of being high, instead of being numb your feelings - they are enhanced, sunlight feels lovely and warm on your skin (dopamine's+other chemical's trigger release). Things become more exciting, more interesting, etc.

So what do I do? What do you do to avoid this kind of situation? Should I try to now focus on bringing these happy emotions or a brighter point of view back with me? Cave in and let my excessive habits take me where they please?

I was addicted to weed for a year or so, smoked bong rips daily because the withdrawals were terrible and "smoke weed erryday"

I have never met someone with as bad withdrawals from weed as myself. I was fuarrrked for at least a week: incredibly irritable, restless, couldnt sleep, when i could sleep i had incredibly vivid dreams (nightmares too) which would wake me up, absolutely no motivation to do anything, and in general really fuarrrking depressed

I hated weed mainly because i felt i had to smoke it. There is no other drug i have been addicted to other than ketamine, but that was after i quit smoking weed

I cant tell you whether you should stop or not, or what your relationship with weed should be. But if you want to quit it helps to exercise, drink a lot of water, get rid of/sell your smoking gear, dont hang out with your pothead friends until you can say no without being tempted, and dont go off and on. Decide how often you want to smoke and dont be a lazy pothead and give in to what you really want in the long term.

  No.4635

Weed never numbed my feelings, i think most people think it makes things more interesting etc. I think you should just keep using it if you're enjoying it. Personally I don't enjoy being high on weed frequently, it is like kicking dead whales down the beach. Basically I agree with >>4628
Unless you have a tangible reason to think that your usage is harmful to your life, you may as well continue.

If you have an urge to smoke when you're faced with certain feelings, but weed doesn't numb your feelings, then it's probably not even preventing you from facing difficult feelings and may actually bring them into the light like a psychedelic. If you're afraid of addiction maybe having a break to prove to yourself that you can live without it could help -- although being unhappy (or less happy) without it doesn't necessarily signal that you 'can't live without it', drugs can simply enhance your life.

I've taken nutmeg essential oil around four times, trying to find the threshold dose. The first three times gave no effects other than the terrible aftertaste. That soykaf sticks around. Milk helps slightly but not much.

The last time I took about 30 drops (~5ml?) in the early afternoon. Didn't feel anything all day. Went to bed. Woke up around 3am with nausea and slightly altered sense of space. Vomited. Lay in bed staring at ceiling. By around 6am I was able to get up, but things continued to feel a little off for most of the day.

Most reports I'd read suggested that the essential oil was more potent and with less body load than powder. I've never taken the powder so I can't compare directly, but none of this was particularly impressive. Maybe my oil was low quality or maybe I didn't take enough. Not motivated to try again.

pretty dope thread title I know.

In all seriousness I thought it might be interesting to explore some occult ideas through a modern lens with the help of some brain enhancers. Im not necessarily reccomending literal sorcery, but there is that argument that perhaps rituals were simply used to get the user into the right headspace and this allowed them to do seemingly extraordinary things or at least prove mentally beneficial. You could also just believe it is actual fuarrrking magic it depends on how creative and imaginative you are I guess.

So what im suggesting is experimenting with different made up rituals that come to our brains normally or with a little help, and then perfecting these rituals to give some good drug induced prophetic visions or induce communication with the collective internet unconscious or whatever AI has spawned from the neural network of computers. Perhaps send our consciousness across the wired as ancient tribal wizards once sent their consciousness across the sky.

At the very least even if you dont by any of this soykaf I think it could certainly make for some fun trips while its happening. This weekend my waifu is planning to isolate herself if she is able to and perform a ritual involving tea drinking, pinning up drawings she herself has made of computer chips around her (plus whatever else comes to mind at the time that seems fitting) and then dropping 6 tabs and talking at her laptop in an attempt to gain some precious insight. As somebody highly skilled in the art of having a good time I advise you to do similar regardless of how ridiculous it may seem and share results! How did the various ritual pieces enhance your trip, what answers or skills were you seeking? Etc.

>Insights/Analysis:
Acid can be as spiritual as you allow it to be. The possibility of unlocking mental powers, manifesting physical representations of your psyche, is all very real in my opinion. The more you process things with your brain and not your eyes the more your subconscious will shape the world around you. Had I let the disassociation grip me it would have been quite profound, but I worried for my sanity. Those of you braver perhaps can try it, you will know when it happens. The fundamentals of the world and reality are processed differently on acid, and on high doses you are transported to a very different world. It is one you can survive in, and coexists with the real world. But it must be tamed, you can’t let it run you. Again any of you who are mathematicians out there, or those of you with a potential for a strong working grasp of mathematics may find you will even be able to shape this world and thus reality itself in a way within the confines of acid. Promising for the aspects of techno shamanism. Computer science too, I’m a student at the moment but I am now immensely excited to learn more. The nature of systems working together, the languages itself, machine code even have good applications in this world.

It is key that you work yourself into an exhaustion, and be calm going in. Doing so brought a very new element to this trip not present before. It allowed my brain to focus on more meaningful things. Those of you adept at meditation may be able to work yourself into this state much easier. The rituals are to help get you in this mindset, I imagine going in with varying degrees of exhaustion vs stimulation and mental focus, integration with reality, and things of that sort will provide different experiences. That is where the pre ritual comes in. It is entirely about preparation.
What I see the potential for is a post peak ritual to be added in. I guarantee during the peak you are unable to think of such things, unless perhaps you truly become a master of it. I see the potential though for one to go insane attempting to make use of the peak information in a super meaningful way. However had I planned out a ritual to be carried out after the peak, I would have performed it. I believe (light) self electroshock may have a place here. For those attempting to succumb to the dissociation, developing an end ritual will be helfpul. Developing an appropriate end ritual will be very self driven, and I recommend you practice this at low doses first to get in the habit and develop it. This may be key to returning to reality in your mind.

So in general with acid, I recommend a preparation ritual, a post peak ritual, and an end game ritual, to be planned out prior to the trip and practiced in lower doses first. The preperation ritual is all about entering a mindset, the post peak ritual is a mystery to me but seems very in place, the end game ritual is likely about comfort and returning to reality. However both the post peak and end peak ritual will require further experimentation. The preparation ritual and post peak ritual are linked in my mind, one shapes the peak and the peak shapes the come down. After witnessing how your preparation ritual affects your peak, you may then develop a post peak ritual to go with said preparation ritual.

(Cont Insights/Analysis)
These can be shared and you may use different ones each time for different purposes, they will potentially work for others. The end game ritual however is entirely your own, it must not be shared and it must always be the same, it will not work for other people. It is potentially mentally damaging as you are bringing someone to a reality that isn’t their own.
For the personal meaning of my trip I will say this; there was quite a lot that went wrong but I learned much from it, and I believe some more “magical” things came out of it. I consider these drawings to be artifacts of some sort, they give me personal power. I can look at them and return to a mental place capable of dealing with certain situations better. So I strongly encourage you to find what skill you can make use of during the trip that gives you this ability, to produce items of value that can bridge gaps in your mind. This is the purpose of acid in my mind; whether it be a computer program, an equation, writing, a handicraft of some sort. You must also practice this skill in real life and keep conscious of the bridge you are attempting to create. You must become a master of it in both worlds. If you ever feel lost on the trip, about what you should be doing, return to your skill. It is always the most productive thing you can be doing. That feeling of “missing something” or chasing the high disappears when you do this. You have physically manifested something from this other world. Again I can’t stress that you must not let it run you. At a certain point, you won’t need the acid anymore, you will have mastered it. Never believe that it is the reason for your success, there is a lesson to be learned from it but it is not a source of power. If you let it run you, your skill will be reduced to scribbles, jumbles of worthless code, nonsense. Practice discipline, tripping every weekend is worthless. If you don’t feel your skill has evolved enough, work on it until you feel you are getting somewhere. Then it is appropriate to take it. This can be months, even years. Sometimes it may just be a few weeks.

A final note is that in spite of all this, the world of LSD is not real, but nor is it any faker than the world one perceives naturally. But both are built upon a fixed reality. If you ever see something that isn’t there from a sober perspective on acid at all without intention. it is time to stop for a long while and recollect yourself. They are parallel, in both worlds the same objects, actors and people exist. I believe you actually could function in society in the state of an acid trip so long as you keep disciplined; all that changes is your interpretation of it. To see something that wasn’t already there means your brain is deciding to fill in gaps that don’t need to be filled, at this point you are warping reality. You aren’t seeing clearly anymore. Also eliminating thought loops, as difficult as that may be, is for the best. Thought loops are wasted brain power, the results of them often don’t make sense upon waking. The results of developing your skill and power do make sense. Ever so often when exploring thought loops they can turn into something that leads to useful mental introspection once you break out, which has it’s place in a different kind of trip. However the kind I describe is for, as I have repeated many times, growth of a skill.

hi /drg/. this is the first place that popped to my waifu's mind, so we're sorry if it's not the right one

long story short my waifu hit the joint for the first time a couple of days ago. she took 3 smokes from it, and it was after drinking alcohol. she's pretty slim and hasn't been diagnosed with any heart problems. she's pretty healthy in general.
however, there were some problems. after doing what she did, her heartbeat rate skyrocketed and she was shaking a lot. she decided to go to sleep. she has been hit with a "high" around 3 times and she hasn't lost control of her thoughts even for a minute - she remembers everything that happened, with details. whenever a "high" came her tongue started going numb and she couldn't feel any taste.
now, it's already a couple of days since this happened, but she still has some problems: increased heartbeat and chest pain (this seems to be gone for now, though), weird metabolism, increased body temperature.
are things like that to be expected? will that wear off any time soon? also, how to prevent things like that from happening if the next time comes? (we think the worst thing was probably drinking alcohol beforehand)
i should also probably add my waifu's pretty non-resistant to any stimulants (gets drunk fast, gets fired up after smoking) and she didn't know the dosages.

ok so what happened here is you got really high and had a panic attack. It'll wear off don't worry about it, same thing happened to me the first time I smoked and it took a month to wear off fully. If you want to smoke again (understandable if you don't) then I recommend finding a strain with high CBD. In fact, some people say that smoking high CBD strains can cure this weed induced anxiety, although I haven't tested that so it might not be entirely correct

thanks for clarifying. those are reasonable desires to try this substance, and it may well be that you do have some recreational enjoyment out of salvia. it generally does not strike me as something that most people enjoy doing on a somewhat regular basis, and i'd argue that salvia's in a class of its own in terms of it's effects - it produces hallucinations, but isn't really a psychedelic in terms of otherwise having a similar profile to psychedelics.

afaik, which the wiki page seems to back up - although the data is insufficient to state certainly - there seems to be a very low addiction profile with salvia. in the experience of myself and of those i know, it's a seldomly returned to. i don't know of anyone using it regularly enough to develop a tolerance. an erowid trip report states that a user subjectively experience tolerance with constant redosing, although the quality of their trips got better. the erowid Q&A on salvia states that the compound does not have a tolerance. ymmv.

as someone who also experiences anxiety, as well as other mental malaises, i might suggest looking into some sort of nootropic or herbal supplement for managing anxiety. phenibut is lovely - if taken wisely, since it builds a tolerance and withdrawals can be very bad for you, and there's heaps more (there is a thread floating round here on nootropics; i'm also happy to share positive benefits i've had from my nootropics stack.) ashwaghanda is a wonderful herbal suppliment for anxiety - it works extremely well if you take it long term. I picked up 10 bottles of it for $20 on Swanson's website a few years back. I don't take it anymore since my anxiety is largely under control, but it was very helpful for me when i was around your age, and two friends that i suggested it to reported positive effects.

kratom is also a good, legal (for now) compound for occasional anxiety relief - among other things - but it should be treated like an opiod; not necessarily a good path to go down unless you're disciplined about it, or want to manage an opiate habit.

best of luck. would be interested in hearing how it works out for you once you've gotten your feet wet.

What are lainanons on? I was just prescribed 20mg of Paxil a day. I've encountered some side effects - headaches, extreme tiredness and sleep issues. Still another two weeks until I go back to the doctor.

  No.4943

I was on 20mg of Lexapro for almost 2 years but I just switched to 20mg of Prozac which I moved up to 40mg on my own.
Also 1mg kpin a day but I take 2 mg on days I work.

I took them for months. Years. Now I have to stop. It is really hard.
I have my problems back. One moment I feel like I shouldn't exist. As nobody cares if I kill myself. Sometimes I want to jump. It s not true – I have somebody who loves me, who I love. I'm one of those fuarrrking happy bastards. I do not want to hurt my love. She is important. She care.

I have to stop taking SSRI. I have so much fear then I'll kill myself if I stop.
And if I continue taking them I'll die.

Now I'm taking half of the dose, I have to stop taking anything in week.

How? Can I found help here?

  No.4950

Why do you have to stop taking them? How long have you been working your dose down? If your doctor is taking you off them let them know that SSRI withdrawal is real and ask to be tapered off.

I have always smoked blunts but people rolled them for me, and I honestly don't want to deal with it.

I want to get a glass piece (Or a couple if I really have to) for flower mostly, but I occasionally want to mess with some dabs. I also don't have the most money honestly for a bunch of pieces or expensive ones.

What do you guys recommend? I was thinking maybe a pipe for flower and a bubbler for dabs but I don't know. I also don't want a big bong, mostly for storage and cleaning reasons.

You need it to be concealable? I'd just go to some local headshop or anywhere that sells weird stuff and take a look at what they have. Just go downtown and look for any shop with a goofy spelling or tarot cards :P

And make sure to always call it a tobacco pipe when you're there. Everyone who runs the place knows what you're going to smoke with it, but they need to keep up appearances.

Good old hooch. A drug for new and old. Who here likes it? Any heavy drinkers lurking around?

Still amazes me how side effect heavy, dangerous and habit forming the substance is despite its public image. I have played with everything under the son but alcohol really is some sneaky stuff. Many people have no problem with it. Sometimes people don't have a problem with it simply because they don't view it as a drug. They view it as a social everyday thing that they shouldn't do other than weekends. Pretty interesting.

I hate alcohol, and don't like alcoholics or heavy drinkers. In my opinion it's one of the worst drugs, right next to smoking tobacco.
Drunk people are annoying, aggressive at times, and just fuarrrking retarded. It's dangerous for yourself, and for those around you.
Yet MJ is illegal, a plant that has actual medicinal properties. Really makes you think.
