No.6960

post songs that make you feel.

High Hopes and The Final Cut(both the song and the album) both make me real sad. I've actually cried listening to High Hopes before, and I'm not the type that cries a lot. I just get thinking about how so much with the world is so incorrigably fuarrrked.

  No.6969

Here's the first album to have ever made me cry. I think I've only cried to music in combination with circumstance since then. I don't actually come back to it very often, but it did a lot to push me into my favorite genre way back when. Listen to it loud.

I fell out of listening to new music goddamn years ago and wish I could fall into that same passion I had then, where I was listening to new albums every day. Not just browsing related albums on YouTube or letting an algorithm show me soykaf that sounds exactly like what I'm already listening to, but checking out really varied and weird recommendations from random people and hearing all manner of outlandish things I never would have thought to listen to. It was all about discovery.
I realize now that has nothing to do with this thread, but what the hell, it's a feel.

I really like this song but it's kinda ruined for me since I now associate it with a great romantic opportunity I totally butchered.

I've been wanting to reply to this thread for a couple of days but didn't had time, but still heard most of Pink Floyd's albums and some of Roger Waters solos, they are so good.

I've mainly listened only to Pink Floyd for a damn while, The Division Bell is my favorite one, I've listened to it laying on the floor a lot of times, I love Gilmour's works, his solo albums are also great, On An Island specially, Waters' albums are good too, but they are mostly about political soykaf and just Amused to Death is pretty much a The Wall "sequel".

Rick Wright solo albums, specially "Broken China" haves some feely songs:

Andy Prieboy - Tomorrow Wendy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZBQGCI2hm0
Wendy was a hooker that Prieboy knew. She caught HIV and killed herself in the 80's, when the church was calling it God's plague on gays and junkies.
The sheer venom in his lyrics...

Coil - Tainted Love
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtkGjoRrc9o
Coil turn Tainted Love into a funeral dirge. AIDS themed again. fuarrrking relentless.

I should also mention Diamanda Galas' album trilogy, The Masque Of The Red Death, her brother died from AIDS during the making of the album, and she went fuarrrking nuts on the recording, screaming, crying, growling like an animal, and slipping into glossolalia, with her three and a half octave range.

Really, I find it kind of happy almost? it makes me cry but not out of sadness, its the beauty of his realizations about himself and his desire to overcome the depression. I always ignored it because my favorite sufjan albums were not his indie rock/folk ones, but i decided to listen to this one last week and it came at a really good moment and when i needed something like this the most. I think it may have changed my life although im yet to see.

This one hits me real hard every time I view it.
It's a combination of childhood nostalgia and dreams that I wish and hope to be fulfilled. I'll be making the military my lifetime career, but there is still a big part of me that wants to have a son of my own to mentor to be a great man, better than me, or a daughter that can be very respectable and pure.
Not only that but it reminds me of how precious kids are, how they need to be protected and nurtured to have a fun childhood but also gain basic knowledge and life skills to be thrown into the cruel world we live in, and thinking about how many government's and sick organizations want to pervert children's youth and sign them to debauchery towards pedophile and lgbt sickness. We have to protect our young as much as possible, they're innocence must be protected. They are our future.
