The mods deleted anime pic related in a post I made on /λ/ for being 'Irrelevant', despite that I thought it was, it was specifically chosen to convey a tone of anxious confusion at something another poster said.
There are lots of posts with much more clearly irrelevant pictures, even on /λ/, so I dont think mods should be making subjective judgments about how relevant an image is to someones post, just as to how acceptable it is for the board. Personal subjective creativity about what image to pair with your post to achieve a certain tone or aesthetic is part of posting on imageboards.

It was one staff member, me.
On /λ/, and for that matter /sec/ as well, images that portray how one feels are discouraged. Preferably, all files attached to the post communicate some technical information that can't be well portrayed with text.

So, files on these boards are meant for showing graphical representations of data structures and program recordings and whatnot.

>There are lots of posts with much more clearly irrelevant pictures, even on /λ/

This was an attempt at leniency, but I suppose I'll be as strict as I'm setting out as ideal, from now on.

>so I dont think mods should be making subjective judgments about how relevant an image is to someones post, just as to how acceptable it is for the board.

That's exactly what I was doing.

Regardless, the rule exists to allow for subjective judgments regarding relevancy; an objective judgment of this isn't even well defined.

Lainchan is not a typical imageboard and that argument means nothing.

Not OP. But sounds to me you are taking half the fun out it for no reason whatsoever.

All boards "literally make up rules". Rules maintain order.

Rules are created and posted in advance and not arbitrarily created on the spot, otherwise it's a powertripping mod. Try again.
