I wonder, would a project, attempting to make open sourced Windows ME analog, be ever needed?
Do people need a fancy shell over 16-bit DOS in 2017?


React OS. But you might say it is NT, not DOS... Then there's FreeDOS, which has some GUI's made for it.

I don't think so, the only FOSS reimplementation i very much care for personally, is of NT Windozes, thus ReactOS
